THURSDAY NIGHT THUNDER iRACING SERIES.

We are only taking 120 drivers for each class! So, the first 120 to register is locked in!!

IF YOU ARE AN iRACING PRO DRIVER OR ARE IN THE TOP 20 IN POINTS TRYING TO MAKE PRO ON iRACING, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE!!

*There will be a onetime $10 League Registration Fee and a $15 entry per series race

*****You MUST pay the League Registration Fee to be eligible to run any of the races!!

We will have a HUGE Finale on May 15th and 16th with a payout over $10,000 in purse money!!

We will have a 4 Race Series that will feature two classes; Pro Late Models and the Winged 360 Sprint Cars and pay $100 to the winner and payouts to the top 5 GUARANTEED in both classes.

The race dates are:

The top 5 in each class will have a guaranteed starting spot for our $10,000 total purse “4 Crown Nationals” which will be held on May 15th and 16th at Eldora Speedway.

Code of Conduct

Actions Detrimental to Auto Racing

(a) Any action which, at the sole discretion of the Series Director, is detrimental to the best interests of the sport of auto racing (both virtual and real-world), may face penalties.

(b) Conduct in violation of the Code of Conduct shall be reported to the Series Director who shall be the sole adjudicate.

(d) Penalties for violations may include probation, points loss, rear of the field starting positions, disqualification, suspension, or banning from the League.

Rules & Procedures

League Discord

(a) Drivers who join the league must join the league Discord server.
(i) Drivers who are not members of the discord server will be disqualified until they join the Discord server.

(b) Attendance at the Drivers Meeting in the Discord is mandatory.
(i) Drivers not in attendance at the drivers meeting will be disqualified   from the event.

(c) The Discord channel is for official league communications only.

(d)No conversation is considered private in the Discord.
(i) Conversations occurring in the Discord are subject to the Code of Conduct.

(e) Drivers are required to be in their individual Discord rooms any time their car is on track for messages from Race Control and interview by the NRN Broadcast.
(i) Drivers not available for interview will be disqualified from the event.
(ii) Drivers without a microphone must notify the Race Director of this prior to the event.

(f) A Race Control channel will be available for drivers to contact Race Control during the events.

Joining the Race Event

(a) All drivers must be in the server before qualifications begin.
(i) Any driver who joins during qualifications will be disqualified from the event.

Event Standards

(a) All Races will be conducted with a Fixed Setup as determined by the Series Director.

(b) If a car is involved in an accident in which all four wheels leave the racing surface, the car shall make a mandatory stop in the pit/work area.
(i) Any car not making the mandatory stop shall be disqualified from the event.

(c) Any car which is missing body panels or other components shall make a mandatory stop in the pit/work area.
(i) Any car not making the mandatory stop shall be disqualified from the event.

(d) Any car which has a “meatball” flag issued by iRacing shall make a mandatory stop in the pit/work area.
(i) Any car not making the mandatory stop shall be disqualified from the event.

(e) Revving the car’s engine under caution to burn off fuel is a violation of the fixed setup rules.
(i) First offense will be a warning.
(ii) Second offense shall be a disqualification.

(f) Any car which is involved in the caution to be called three times shall be disqualified.

(g) No reckless, rough, or dirty driving will be tolerated.
(i) All reckless and rough driving calls shall be in the sole discretion of Series Officials and are not subject to appeal.
(ii) Series Officials will set the Incident Limit and advise competitors of the range of incident points allowed during the Drivers Meeting.
(iii) Ranges of incident points shall be as follows: 0-25, 20-40, 30-50, Greater than 50.

Race Starts

(a) All starts and restarts will take place at a consistent speed.
(i) Consistent speed will be at the discretion of Series Officials.

(b) The initial Race Start will take place within a designated area that will be identified at the driver’s meeting.

(c) If the front row fails to start the race properly, the Race Director will call the caution.
(i) The responsible car or cars will receive an EOL penalty.

(d) A False Start violation may be called on any car.
(i) Race Director shall decide whether to call caution and restart.
1) Penalties issued under green by the Race Director include Stop and Hold or Lap penalties.
2) Penalties issued under caution include position loss, EOL or Lap penalties.

(e) You must remain within a half car length (.05-.1 seconds) of the car in front of you.

(f) Front row cars must choose their starting line (inside/outside) coming out of turn two (2) and must maintain that line until the start occurs.
(i) Failure to do so will result in an EOL penalty.

Restarts

(a) All restarts will be Double-File Restarts.
(i) Race Director shall reserve the right to change restarts to single file in the interest of competition and time constraints.

(b) All restarts will take place with the lead lap cars moved to the front of the field.

(c) Lapped cars will pull to the inside and fall in behind the last car on the lead lap in their order of running.

(d) The grid must remain double-file and nose-to-tail until the race is started in the designated start area.
(i) Cars failing to maintain pacing speed may incur an EOL penalty.

(e) Front row cars must choose their starting line (inside/outside) coming out of turn two (2) and must maintain that line until the start occurs.
(i) Failure to do so will result in an EOL penalty.

(f) The race leader sets the pace and is the control car.

(g) A False Start violation may be called on any car.
(i) Race Director shall decide whether to go yellow and restart.
1) Penalties issued under green by the Race Director include Stop and Hold or Lap penalties.
2) Penalties issued under caution include position loss, EOL or Lap penalties.

(h) Once the leader starts the race it is started for the entire field.
(i) Passing and maneuvering throughout the field is allowed as soon as the race has restarted.

Cautions

(a) When a caution is called, fall into single file at the top of the racing surface.

(b) Do not slam on your brakes or stop after catching the pace car or when the yellow is shown.
(i) Cars causing additional incidents after the caution will be penalized EOL or disqualification at the discretion of the Race Director.

(c) Cars deemed to be a cause of the caution, plus any car which stops on the racing surface at any time will be sent to the rear.
(i) Cars which fail to move to the EOL shall be disqualified.

(d) Contact with another car under yellow is prohibited.
(i) At a minimum, the consequence suffered by the offended driver shall apply to the offender. (i.e. If the driver hit is forced to the pits for repairs, the striking driver will be assessed a matching time penalty. If the driver hit goes over incident points and is disqualified, the striking driver will also be disqualified.)
(ii) Any driver who hits a driver during a yellow flag lap after the field is at pace speed will be issued an EOL penalty and a 5 point deduction at the end of the race.
(iii) A second offense by the same driver will result in a disqualification from the current event, plus a minimum one race suspension.

(e) Any car that intentionally brings out a caution period will incur a penalty.
(i) First violation will result in a 2 Lap plus EOL penalty.
(ii) Second violation shall result in the car being disqualified from the event plus a minimum one race suspension.

(f) Any cars that stop, either on the racing surface and/or in the pit/designated work area, during a caution period will be required to restart from the rear of the field.
(i) Any car which does not comply shall be disqualified.

(g) When the yellow flag is displayed and/or caution lights illuminated no passing is permitted unless instructed to do so by the Race Director.
(i) First violation shall result in an EOL penalty.
(ii) Second violation shall result in a disqualification.

Race Night Format

(a) Race format for each event will be decided by the Series Director.

(b) Qualifications, Heats, Semi-Features, and a Feature will take place.
(i) Semi-Features will only be run as needed, depending on car count.

(c) Caution Periods
(i) Heat races will be run without caution periods.
(ii)Consolation Races will run with a maximum of three cautions.
1) A green-white-checkered procedure will be attempted one time.
(ii) Feature races will be run with cautions, and caution laps counting.
2) A green-white-checkered procedure will be attempted three times.

(d) Race event results shall be considered unofficial until the Race Director posts a message on the Discord text chat declaring the session closed and results official

Terms and Conditions

Expulsion from the League

(a) Drivers who are expelled from the league will forfeit all registration fees paid.

Connection Issues

(a) Racing events will not be delayed or restarted due to connection issues on the part of drivers.

(b) Race events shall be considered postponed and to be rescheduled if the iRacing service is unavailable.

Payout Availability

(a) Weekly event payouts will be distributed upon the race event results becoming official.
(i) Drivers who earn prize money will have the funds sent to the in the same manner as entry fees were paid.
(ii) Drivers who earn prize money will have the funds sent in the same manner as entry fees were paid.

(c) Drivers who earn more than $500 from the series will be required to complete a W-9 before the payment which crosses $500 will be distributed.
